Being another genre-bending effort from Jakub Ziołek, this EP kicks off with a tribute to Piry Reis’s „Caminho do Interior” but with distorted, industrial twist. „Modernism and Melancholy” is retro-futuristic MPB-inspired sophisti-pop. „Brutality Garden” begins with a violent digital storm shattering the industrialized city that gradually comes to life with all its chaos and exhaustion. This track as well the next one are heavily influenced by batida and afro-brazilian rhythms. „Happiness” is a Caetano Veloso-esque minimal ambient pop. „Silver City” returns with afro-brazilian electronic dance after yet another digital sonic tempest. "Brutality Garden", "Rude Awakening in Nova Danzig" and "Silver City" are the earliest examples of konk, music style associated with Brutality Garden label.

Ziołek delves deep into electronics, at a hitherto unprecedented scale. Buhl plays very frivolously, not necessarily in the rhythm layer, but he does get carried away. Jachna uses wind instruments to build space, moving very far from jazz mannerisms. Altogether, this is a very intriguing combination – of three theoretically very characteristic musicians, who show us an entirely different, yet equally attractive side of their music. Jakub Knera
